SPDC Events Co-ordinator
I have had many different jobs in my time including working in the civil service, as a personal assistant in the insurance industry and giving mortgage advice. I also trained as a primary school teacher, managed a branch of a charity, gave advice to other charities and worked as a teaching assistant. I started working for SPDC in May 2008 when it became obvious that there was too much work for one person. I initially joined the organisation on self-employed basis to run activities and events and have been here ever since. I love my work and the people I meet through it.
There are two things that I think of as the MOST exciting things that I have ever done. The first is a parachute jump and the second is to have flown a plane. I would not do either again!
One of my favourite memories at SPDC has to be our legendary Christmas Party. It’s chaotic, noisy, busy, full of elves, presents and magic. I just love it!
My Superhero is my mom. She has always been there for me and has seen my through the best and worst of times. I really don’t know what I would do without her!
If I had a superpower it would be to be some form of time travel to allow me to either re-live or to return to special times in my life such as when my girls were younger.
